Up and Coming

So everything is starting to come a lot now with figuring out due dates and navigating this website. I did some research (even though I know we don't have to start till next week) because I am so excited about my topic. I set up an interview with my neighbor Nancy for next week which I am looking very forward to. I'm still a little confused about noodle tools, but I'll just ask Coach Love about it tomorrow. I am curious to see what the team meetings are all about. Mine is scheduled for Tuesday so I will let you know! I think once I start my research I will definitely have a lot more to talk about. We will just have to wait and see!

Mentor Craze

Wednesday Ms. Yuman and I had our first official mentor meeting. I am so happy I picked her as my mentor because she is so resourceful and super easy to talk to. We picked Tuesdays during lunch as our weekly meeting day which worked out perfectly for both of us. Ms. Yuman loves dogs so she is really excited for my project. She even said she might be able to train Rudi on the basics of sitting and ect... This week was a bit crazy trying to figure out when everything was due and if we had to do research this week, but I think I am on the right path. Next week is my plan of action week. I am going to try to sign Rudi up in a training program and get her in the swing of things. My neighbor's dog Barney is trained as a therapy dog so she is a great person I can go to for help and questions. I think she'll be a great first interview for me as well! Rudi is just as excited as I am and we can't wait to start the physical process.

Hello W.I.S.E.

Today was my first official day of W.I.S.E. I have to admit it was a bit overwhelming, but I feel I will get the hang of it once I'm proactive with my project. Coach Love explained everything we need to know and need to do for the semester. I was thinking extremely hard about my project and I am 100% sure I am going to get my eight year old dog Rudi trained as a therapy dog. I love helping out others, especially children, and I thought this would be a great and unique way to do so. I still need to do a ton of research on the entire process, but I am hoping by the end of W.I.S.E I will be able to bring Rudi into children's hospitals to visit patients. Rudi doesn't even know how to sit on demand so I have a long way to go. I can't wait to start my journey and see where it takes me. =)
